Hi. Is there a way to make an aui toolbar button drop down a menu?

Almost certainly, although I haven't tested it.

Go to http://pnelsoncomposer.com/software/wxMenuToolBar/ and download the source.

Adapt the source to allow a wxAuiToolbar as parent (if necessary) and use that component for your menu.

I haven't looked at the source myself, but it should be reasonably simple.
