How do you enable HTML5 local storage?

Forgive me if this is a noob question, but what do you do to XULRunner sitting in webconnect-1.1/xr to enable local storage in HTML5? Can you somehow copy the relevant modules from Firefox source, and build this into xr?

I'm using the demos at http://html5demos.com to test local storage, and Firefox 3.6 works fine with these.
