"An error occurred while attempting to create the project."

Hello,

I'm trying to review Kirix and am getting an error on Linux directly after installing and running the program. I am presented with a window "Projects", from which I click button "Add Project...". I'm next presented with a dialog titled "Add Project". When I attempt to add a project using the default settings, "New Project" and "/home/dpatrick/Kirix Strata Projects", I get the following error:

The specified folder could not be created. Please check to make sure the specified path is valid.

I'm running Ubuntu 7.10. I'm very interested in testing the software and perhaps recommending it to my colleagues, but I am unable to effectively test it because I can't get past this screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any idea when a new version will be released that addresses this problem?

Yes. This problem has been fixed, and we're planning to release an update next week.
