Error - [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager]

Hi

i am new to Kirix and trying to connect to me site and its MySQL database, but i get this error:

There was an error connecting to the specified database.
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

can you tell me what i am doing wrong? or is this a classic problem with mircosoft?

Try installing MyODBC and see if you can get farther. It's available from mysql's website.

I'm in the same boat: new user trying to get Kirix to connect to a remote MySQL instance. I'm the exact same error the OP is getting.

I've installed Connector/ODBC 5.1.10 (from: here), and restarted Kirix. Still getting the same error message.

What should I try next?
