Educational license

I just wondered if you where planning to have an educational license when the product is out of beta. I think this is a very nice tool showing the students that we can use "the web of data" even if the semantic web isn't really here yet.

Yes, we are very interested in doing an educational license once we get out of beta.

We'd love to have students and teachers be able to play with the software and explore the data/semantic web and even use it to start mashing it up with various local and other academic data.

In the meantime, if you (or anyone else out there) have an immediate interest in doing something before we have an "official" program/license, please just shoot me an email at support(at)kirix.com and we'll definitely make something happen. Thanks.

I'm glad to hear that an educational license is planned. I have introduced Kirix to my students, and I'll probably make it a part of my Information Architecture/Semantic Web course - nothing immediate though.
