Is there a simple way to detect the docking area?

I have seen many paint problems http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1588182&group_id=9863&atid=109863 to name but one.

These seem to be related to drawing docking area content over toolbar content.

If the aui demo is altered to display a toolbar at each side and top and bottom, the painting error seen in the report above, can be replicated in any direction.

The problem would be removed if the sash sizing was limited to the docking area, and therefore the question.

Or am I limited to getting all the panes and cycling through them finding their limits and saving them?

Or have I missed something obvious?

http://www.kirix.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=582&p=1561&hilit=onleftup#p1561 has some changes which when implemented correct the paint issues mentioned in the sf bug above.

Should these changes be implemented, then these paint issues disappear.

It is possible (probable) that there will be other issues with the changes, but these will be found in due course and can be addressed then.
