How to build wxWeb as a static lib with mingw under Winxp

Greetings to everybody!

I like wxWebConnect very much but I cann't make it work with my wx2.9.0 build since I am using mingw under windows xp other than vc++.I tried to buid it as a static lib but there is no makefile.gcc like the one wxWidgets has.I failed to build the test sample when I included all the headers and source file.So my questions are:
1.Is there any way to build it as a static lib with mingw3.4.5 under winXP.My wx build command is as below:
mingw32-make -f makefile.gcc BUILD=release SHARED=0 MONOLITHIC=1 UNICODE=1

2.Other than build a static lib,is there any way to build and run the sample if I just include all the headers and src and anything else needed ?
