Is there a plan to include VS2005 style docking targets into wxAUI?

Hi,
Yes. It's listed on our road map. We call it HUD-docking (Heads-Up Display). It's not yet implemented in wxAUI 0.9.3, though one individual submitted a sample implementation.

Cool... i guess i didn't understand what that feature was when i read it.
Is the submitted sample implementation posted to the forums? I didn't find it with a search. Just thinking ahead as it seems like hud docking is far down on the roadmap.
