tabbed panes

Hi,

first off, i have been using wxAUI for some time now and love it - great work!
There`s just this one little thing that`s bugging me: tabbed panes.

I can have several wxAUITab controls, and i can drag tabs around, and i can also have floating panes, and i can attach those to margins, but i CANNOT have several panes in a tabbed way, much like with more recent version of Visual Studio (2005+).

I cant imagine it would be so hard to add, seeing the work you have done so far, but it surpasses my understanding and knowledge of the wxw framework by far.

This feature as also been integrated into some other docking libraries, most notably
wxExtendLib: http://sourceforge.net/projects/wxextended/
and
wxIFM: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ifm/

Would it be possible to add this feature...?

p.s. docking hints (again like in VS) would be nice to have, too...

You're not the first person that has wanted this feature. I've seen some patches that come close to implenting this functionality well, but none that were mature enough to merge.

wxAUI was conceived with this feature in mind, but I haven't had the time to implement it fully yet.

You might want to google for the patches that have been made and check out our patch forum.
