Support for MDI frames?
Can someone explain what "support for MDI frames" means? Are you guys planning on creating MDI support that will work on Linux?? That would be fabulous.

Well, MDI support in that sense (a generic MDI control) probably doesn't belong in wxAUI.
However, we do have a full generic MDI control already implemented on Linux. Let me see what I can do about releasing it under the wxWidgets license.

Yea, definitely let me know (i.e., post back here or e-mail me) if you do release this.
Would you happen to have any screenshots I could see?

There are tons more of linux MDI screenshots here:

You can even try the control out by downloading our Kirix Strata trial for Linux. Have fun.

Believe it or not, that if wxFL.
wxFL has caused us no end of trouble, which is why we decided that it was necessary to write wxAUI.
In the upcoming version of Kirix Strata, you will see wxAUI featured.

You can already use wxMDIParentWindow etc. under Linux. See http://www.xaraxtreme.org for an example.

I think he was referring to a mdi control in the sense of the windows implementation, e.g. frames that one drags around.
All the best,
Ben
