When opening Microsoft Visual Foxpro .DBF files, the memo fields come in blank. Having them pull in as a Blob type field or character field with an extremely large size would be huge benefit for me so that I can save the data under a Mysql database. Is this a feature that can be added in the near future?
Thanks,
Joel

Re: DBF Memo fields are blank.
Hi Joel,
What you'd like to do is reasonable, but there's at least one complication. In the DBF format, memo fields contain pointers to DBT files that contain the actual memo data, so it isn't possible to get the memo data from the DBF without these associated files.
For your particular application, if you have the DBT files, we might be able to help you create a work-around to import the data. Are these files available?
Best,
Aaron
